QA Policy
OBJECTIVES

OCS has, as its objectives and goals, the following:
  Provide qualified and competent Crew
  Ensure that the personnel selected are well trained for the functions and duties to be carried out.
  Have a thorough understanding of the requirements of Safety and Protection of the environment.
  Work in a disciplined and professional manner.
  Development of a permanent cadre of qualified, trained and motivated personnel.
POLICY

In order to attain the objectives OCS has as its policy:

SCOUTING for talent and competency among Crew

ENSURING that trained and competent Crew are retained by fair compensation.

IDENTIFYING the needs for further Training in accordance with STCW, changing Technology and Types of ships / Units.

ENSURING that training facilities are provided to the personnel in their employment to meet above requirements.

ESTABLISH an adequate reserve of Trained personnel in their employment.

No fees or service charges for recruitment shall be taken from the Crew
Training Policy
OCS shall make provisions for adequate crew training according to requirements stated in the manning agreement by:
  Use of approved shore based training facilities or training programmes.
  Motivating crew members to improve and update their qualifications related to their present position.
  Encouraging crew to upgrade their current qualifications.
  Ensuring that documented procedures for on board familiarisation with machinery, equipment and systems are provided before taking responsibility on board.
  Asses training needs in consultation with Client, based on onboard appraisals.
