OCS Services successfully completes 1 year on Drillship Platinum Explorer of the Vantage Drilling Company.
On 12th September 2011, the crew belonging to OCS Services (India) Pvt. Ltd. completed its 1st year on “Platinum Explorer”, a state of the art drillship belonging to Vantage Drilling Company, which is currently working for ONGC off the coast of Vishakhapatnam. The “Pride of the Fleet”, as the Platinum Explorer is referred to within Vantage Drilling Company, measures 238 metres in length, 42 meters in width and 125 meters in height and has a 12,000 foot water depth design, capable of drilling wells 40,000 feet deep. This state of the art vessel has a strong contingent of OCS Services crew who were instrumental in mobilizing the Platinum Explorer from the shipyard in South Korea to Indian waters via Singapore in 2010.
